DESCRIPTION:
The Dakota was restyled for the 2008 model year...thank god...and looks much better than its ugly predecessor. Also new for 2008 are more powerful engines as the standard 3.7 L V6 produces 210 horsepower and 235 lb feet of torque. If more power is what you seek (and we always do), the 4.7 L Magnum V8 is the way to go as it produces 290 horsepower and 320 lb feet of torque. Fuel economy dips with the V8 from 20 city to 15 and 25 highway to 20 mpg. When properly equipped, the V6 can tow 5,000 pounds with the V8 being able to pull 8,000 pounds.
