DESCRIPTION:
This is the latest in the Mazda MX-5 model (also known to enthusiasts as the Mazda Miata). First released in 1989, this revolutionary roadster has gone through a number of generations which has left it relatively true to the original lightweight roadster design. While not too much is known at the moment about the next generation MX5 powerplant, it will most likely stay true to its small and peppy inline four roots. A turbocharged Mazdaspeed version is also likely to be shipped alongside the base.
A feature that MX5 enthusiasts are greatly looking forward to is the new retractable hardtop option. While this was also used on a select number of NC Miatas, those purchasing a new one after 2009 will find it much easier to score one. Exterior updates such as revised headlights, front bumper, rear bumper, taillights, sideskirts, and grille are some of the most major updates. There were also a number of minor updates done on the interior with the goal of increasing space / enhancing driving pleasure in mind.
