Gallery: Dodge Challenger Drag Package
DESCRIPTION:
As of July 13, 2008, Dodge unveiled their factory-prepped Dodge Challenger Drag racer for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). Based on the production SRT8 Challenger, the Drag Package Challengers are offered with either a 5.7 L/6.1 L Hemi's or a 5.9 L Magnum Wedge Engine. Transmission's offered are manual or automatic depending on preference. In order t make these monsters real performers on the track, MOPAR Performance slimmed them down by 1,000 pounds by eliminating sound deadener, power stearing, air bag systems, HVAC systems, rear seats, exhaust and heat shields. Look out for one of the 100 built (as per NHRA rules) Drag Package Challengers coming soon to a 1/4 mile near you.
