DESCRIPTION:
This is the Dodge Viper Competition Coupe. It is powered by the same V10 engine that you'll find in a production SRT10 but the intake and exhaust have been changed up (removal of restrictive emissions equipment) to allow for a higher power output.
It also has massive tires, aerodynamic improvements, a large amount of additional safety equipment, and other modifications to make racing a bit easier.
When this thing was released in 2003 it caused a big stir in the racing world because of its power. It was not quite fast enough for the fastest series but it would outstrip the lower series by a large margin. This lead to a number of regulations just for this car, including a mandate that the car must carry a weight penalty.
