Gallery: Ford F150 SVT Raptor in Baja 1000
DESCRIPTION:
The Ford F150 SVT Raptor R is a
special edition of the popular truck
that has been designed with off road
enthusiasts in mind. The production
version of this truck is powered by a
5.4L V8 engine but the one pictured in
this gallery harnesses the power of a
6.2L V8 with a 500HP rating. The
production version will have a throng
of upgrades that will make it king of
the offroad course; improved shocks,
tires, some minor exterior
improvements, and interior
modifications.
The race version pictured just
finished one of the toughest endurance
races in the world, the Baja 1000.
This race spans 631 miles and is
completed by only the toughest of race
vehicles. Now, the Ford F150 Raptor
has joined the ranks of those that
claim a Baja finish. It actually
finished much better than the team was
hoping for; it placed 3rd in its
division (Class 8) instead of merely
finishing.
