DESCRIPTION:
The 2009 Ford Flex is the new boxy, spacious vehicle to hit the streets. It joins the likes of the Scion xB and Honda Element as the most simply shaped, geometric rides out there. This 4-door ride is Ford's all-new midsize wagon. The front-wheel drive Flex has exterior chrome accents that make this possibly the boldest Ford available. Unlike the Element and xB, the Flex packs some serious power. The 3.5L 262 horsepower V-6 engine will easily transport you and 6 or 7 of your full-size friends down the Pacific Coast Highway in style. The Flex has a curb weight of 4,650 pounds. The anti-skid safety system will help you stay on your wheels when you're cranking out the full potential of the V-6 engine. Other features include rearview camera, power lift-gate, voice-activated navigation (with traffic), and 4-panel glass moonroof. The Ford Sync system allows for seamless media integration whether you want to listen to your iPod or favorite CD. The 2010 Flex model will offer a twin-turbo version of the engine and rock around 340 horsepower. The six-speed automatic transmission, combined with an optional all-wheel drive churns out about 16/22 miles per gallon. The front-wheel drive model gets around 17/24 and can tow upwards of 4,500 pounds. Overall, the Ford Flex provides a unique "crossover" that comfortably seats a large family and provides great interior comfort and performance.
