DESCRIPTION: There’s something about the 2009 Hyundai Tucson that screams “outdated.” Its Hyunda-like profile is in need of a major overhaul. If Hyundai ever wants the same recognition as its Japanese competitors, the Korean automaker should start producing better looking cars. Fortunately, the Tucson’s looks are the only thing that don’t impress. This unique crossover SUV is powered by a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine capable of 140 horsepower and 136 lb-ft of torque. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available. The four-wheel independent suspension and rack-and-pinion steering contribute to a smooth and comfortable drive all passenger seats fold down to create a large cabin space for moving a large load. Hyundai offers a complete package to equip the Tucson with all desired amenities ( power heated side mirrors, roof rack side rails, remote keyless entry, rear wiper, CD player with six speakers, side curtain airbags, privacy glass side airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, power windows and power door locks). A starting price of $16,000 makes the 2009 Hyundai Tucson a great bargain if you can handle the uninspiring exterior.
