Carroll Shelby and North Texas-based, Unique Performance, builder of the Shelby G.T.500E and G.T.350SR, are expanding their product line to include the G.T.500SR. Unique Performance is working closely with Carroll Shelby on this continuation model, which is based on his 1967-1970 Shelby G.T.500. Like the 1965 G.T.350SR, this car will closely mirror the original body style of the 1960’s era Shelbys.
Only a few thousand Shelby G.T.500s were built from 1967 to 1970; most featured 428 big block powerplants, officially rated at 335 hp. The cars were available in both coupe and convertible configurations.
The Shelby G.T.500SR is based on an original 1967-1970 Mustang, which is stripped to a bare shell; the G.T.500SR is then created with the latest technology available for modern automobiles. Like the 1960’s era model, both coupe and convertible versions will be available. Each car will receive a Shelby VIN and will be included in
