WebRidesTV Brings You This Exclusive Premier Coverage of the Roush Nitemare. This is a super limited release and the fastest F150 that Roush has released. Only 100 of these bad boys will be around so keep your eyes peeled. If you're lucky enough to see one coming up behind you, get out of the way.
Because Ford stopped production of the Ford Lightning, Roush took control of things and built the Nitemare F-150 to satisfy the demand. This supercharged Beast will keep up with a mustang, which weighs about 1/2 the weight of the Nitemare, you do the math.
Ok maybe we will skip the math. This F-150 houses a modified 5.4 L Blown V8 behind its billit grille. This amounts to 445 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque on tap. Top speed is electronically limited to a sane 105 mph. To handle the additional power and boost, Roush fitted their intake manifolds, intercooler, and radiator, all of which are covered by their 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. Trimmed out with varios body mods, the most noticeable is the front bumper. In addition, an optional rear wing and hood scoop are available. To make this a Roush, they couldn’t just call it a finished piece with just body mods, suspension mods, and engine mods. They finished it off with a revamp of the interior with new seats, gauge highlights, and plenty of Roush badging.
For the suspension, Roush went through a time and labor consuming process of testing and tuning on the track. The result is a set of springs, shocks, and sway bars that give the crude F150 sports car handling. In addition to the handling, the suspension sure makes this F-150 look hot with its 2 inch drop in the front and 3 inch drop in the rear. To increase acceleration, Roush opted for a 3.73 rear axle complete with a Limited-slip diff.
This higher ratio gives the Nitemare seat clenching acceleration in addition to making burnouts a piece of cake. Pricing on these machines starts at about $42,000.
