You know its WebRidesTV.com when the always beautiful Jessica Rayanne is on camera. Home of the San Diego Chargers, Qualcomm Stadium plays host to SoCal Euro's annual car gathering. Audi, Porsche, VW, and BMW are some of the main brands represented. President of SoCal Euro, Lon Mok, gives us a brief rundown of his self-started web forum. Built in 2001, SoCal Euro is known for its European car mainframe and web community outreach. Their main priority is the member pool, not the vehicles, which has helped attract over 2000 active users to date. Socaleuro.com is holds a yearly raffle where winners receive promotional items and proceeds are donated to a predetermined charity. Corporate responsibility in community service makes everyone happy. This year's gathering attracted an estimated 700 vehicles of all makes and models, some exotic and some not so much.
Nathan Lloyd of Penske Audi introduces to us the jaw-dropping, mouth-watering Audi R8, which looks like a physically matured Audi TT with its masculine, curvy edges and sharp profile. The R8 represents Audi's first mass-produced high performance lucry car. Forget your S4, the R8 is here to compete with the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, and other top-of-the-line performance sports coupes.
This all-aluminum force of Europe burns rubber with it's 4.2 Quattro 420 horsepower beast of an enginer. With a 0-60 in about 4.3 and quarter-mile in the twelves, the Audi RB will have no problem conquering the I-5 up and down California. A top speed of 187mph suggest Audi means business. You have to appreciate the rear viewing pane that exposes this monster's mid-engine.
Possibly the rarest sports Euro at this event is Chris Kreidel's Noble M12 (GT0 3R). This British exotic vehicle is one of only 220 here in the States. Sorry, R8, but the Noble tops you on scarcity. This bang-for-the-buck sports car boasts a deadly 0-60mph of 3.2 seconds. Who needs astronaut training when you've got one of these bad boys available? This 2380lb, 500 horsepower stud isn't just for show. Chris constantly takes his ride out to the track and has rock chips on his hood to prove it.
