Video: Top Gear - International Drag Race
DESCRIPTION:
This is the second part of an ongoing rivalry between Germany, Italy, Japan, America, and Britan on who can make the fastest car. The modified Porsche 9FF 911, Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, Mitsubishi Evolution X, Ariel Atom Supercharged, and the Callaway Corvette Supercharged are going to bat for their respective countries in an all out drag race.
Before they start the race, they had to somehow balance out the race, starting with the Porsche 9FF 911 which is bringing over 1000 horsepower to this race. They decide to choose a shorter racetrack in hopes of evening out the playing field. Just as they are lined up and ready to go, James May brings out another competitor from India: a two door sub sub compact supercharged commuter car.
As they all take off in the race, Richard Hammond in the Ariel Atom is clearly the winner. Check out the rest of the video to see how the rest of the cars stack up and the next challenge which deals with small cars.
