This video is brought to you from the Fluidyne booth at the MPMC show and features Steve Ribelin who is an account representative for Fluidyne. He talks about the benefits that Fluidyne aluminum radiators have over stock applications. We see many of the effects of a system that has not been cleaned properly and it’s not pretty.
Steve recommends driving the car as part of the maintenance of the cooling system. If you are maintaining a car that is rarely driven, he recommends that it be started up every once in a while. If not driven, harmful particles may start corroding the cooling parts which will lead to rust.
He goes over some of the newest radiator solutions at Fluidyne such as a low temperature supercharger cooler for 2005 and newer Ford Mustangs. The Fluidyne version is substantially bigger than the stock cooler so it will hold a larger amount of water which translates into cooler intake temperatures and more horsepower. Most of their aftermarket cooling systems are completely bolt in which eliminates the need for any cutting, drilling, or welding. Fluidyne is constantly developing new product applications at their offices in Ontario, California.
