32’ Ford Roadsters have always been the staple of hot rodding. Mac Boone’s roadster virtually embodies the roaster style, especially with the all red sytling. The red top, red paint, the red tail lights, the red running boards, the red fenders, and the red engine are all unique, but it is not the color that makes these parts unique. Colored tops are genuinely unique by nature, the color is an unused shade by Dupont, which means this shade is likely to be on none of the cars in your state. Likewise, the tail lights and running boards were completely modified to fit the ride, and the running boards even have inlaid strips of chrome. Even more cool are the fenders, which were all widened to make room for the massive wheels, but these wheels had to be massive because that red engine is actually a Chevy engine.
What?
The ZZ-430 apparently looks nicer and has more features that can be used for hot rodding. This guy really knows what he’s doing, and he definately sums up the Goodguys community.
The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association promotes and produces some of the world’s most dynamic automotive events. Founded by lifelong hot rodder Gary Meadors in 1983, Goodguys events feature thousands of candy colored hot rods and custom cars sprawled throughout venues such as lush fairgrounds, super speedways and large outdoor stadiums. The cars, the vendor exhibits, the live entertainment and colorful people create a festive atmosphere charged with electricity. Goodguys offers over 20 events annually across the country from New York to Florida, from San Diego to Seattle and all points in between. Their events range from two-day affairs attended by 30,000 to 40,000 people to three and four day extravaganza's attracting over 100,000 auto enthusiasts.
