Do you like 59’ Cheveez? Methinks we all do!
Bill Saylors, the lucky jerk, owns two of them. One of them might appear to be a standard Impala, but this is no standard Impala at all. A standard Impala doesn’t come with a viper red paint job, a supercharged LS3, nor a center console, custom gauges, a center console, air ride, and just about everything under the sun.
He also has an Impala wagon, which shares many of the same attributes as it’s standard brother. For instance, it runs on the same kicking 20’s, but the wagon also has the special “cat eyes” rear lights, which truly make the wagon stand out among the two. It really provides a rather unique look.
The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association promotes and produces some of the world’s most dynamic automotive events. Founded by lifelong hot rodder Gary Meadors in 1983, Goodguys events feature thousands of candy colored hot rods and custom cars sprawled throughout venues such as lush fairgrounds, super speedways and large outdoor stadiums. The cars, the vendor exhibits, the live entertainment and colorful people create a festive atmosphere charged with electricity. Goodguys offers over 20 events annually across the country from New York to Florida, from San Diego to Seattle and all points in between. Their events range from two-day affairs attended by 30,000 to 40,000 people to three and four day extravaganza's attracting over 100,000 auto enthusiasts.
Goodguys is the world’s largest rod & custom association with membership fast approaching 70,000 nationwide! They attribute much of their growth because the events and the association appeal to and attract a wide range of auto enthusiasts. They aim to provide car owners and enthusiasts alike with fun, family oriented events where the main objective is to have fun with automobiles.
