The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association promotes and produces some of the world’s most dynamic automotive events. Founded by lifelong hot rodder Gary Meadors in 1983, Goodguys events feature thousands of candy colored hot rods and custom cars sprawled throughout venues such as lush fairgrounds, super speedways and large outdoor stadiums. The cars, the vendor exhibits, the live entertainment and colorful people create a festive atmosphere charged with electricity. Goodguys offers over 20 events annually across the country from New York to Florida, from San Diego to Seattle and all points in between. Their events range from two-day affairs attended by 30,000 to 40,000 people to three and four day extravaganza's attracting over 100,000 auto enthusiasts.
Goodguys is the world’s largest rod & custom association with membership fast approaching 70,000 nationwide! They attribute much of their growth because the events and the association appeal to and attract a wide range of auto enthusiasts. They aim to provide car owners and enthusiasts alike with fun, family oriented events where the main objective is to have fun with automobiles.
In this video, we get to see Maurie Hoover’s bueatiful 67’ Chevy Nova. This badass-mofo has been completely modified. Modifications include a 2” chop; Impala trim, longer trunk lid, hand built taillights, an S10 hood, and did I mention the interior? The internal dash is all steel and leather. Do not forget the gauges, screens, bells and whistles. The whole ride runs on Colorado Customs 20” in the back, 18’s in the front, and the engine is a massive 4.6L V8 that produces a killer 575 horsepower. Anybody in their right minds would love to have this car.
