Video: Aston Martin Vanquish S VS Ferrari 575 - Top Gear

This older episode of top gear sets out to test the new (at the time) Aston Martin Vanquish S. It opens up with the simple question - why would you buy this over the much cheaper DB9?
It is powered by the same 6.0 Liter V12 engine as the DB9 uses, however they have done a multitude of tweaks such as a lower suspension ride height, bigger brakes, stiffened up the suspension, and made the steering response quicker. Clarkson believes that all the small changes work together to produce a huge difference in the final performance of the car. There were also changes made to the automatic paddle shifting gear box - however the driver still does not have full control over the timing of the changes.
The new Vanquish S has moved up into competition with the Ferrari 575. Some things it shares in common with the Aston - it is a two seater, has a v12, a paddle shifting gear box, and rear wheel drive. The Ferrari has also received a recent makeover to make it more sporty - the GTC handling pack. We get to see the Ferrari getting thrown around the track while all the sporty additions are shown off.
Which of these coupes is the better? Top Gear will conduct back to back tests that involve a straight line drag race and a lap around the test track with the Stig at the wheels.
