Bud Brutsman treats us all in this WebRidesTv video by giving us the scoop on his all black 1969 Mustang Mach 1. This former father-son project needed more work than Bud had ever imagined upon the first look at the Mach 1 as the entire passenger side had been smashed in after an accident. However, after some help from the guys over at Year One, a company that brings older cars back to life with reproduction parts as well as add-ons, the beat up pony became the fire-breathing monster that you see now.
The Mach 1 variation of the Mustang was introduced by Ford in 1969 with engines ranging from the base 351 Windsor all the way up to the tire shredding 428 Cobra Jet that pumped out 335 horses with a stump pulling 440 pound feet of torque coming in at 3400 rpm. Brutsman has done one better on this dark horse for under the hood is a 4.6L 550 horsepower V8 that pumps out an additional chassis twisting 600 pound feet of torque. While it still retains the classic body lines of a 1969 Mach 1, the interior offers the same comforts as the 2005 Mustang. With the modern touches made to this classic muscle car, this Mach 1 roars down the road like a bat out of hell with the belt driven supercharger screaming all the way. Hope you enjoy this video as much as we do.
