The creations from desolate motor sports are definitely of the quality that belongs at SEMA 2007. Their task for this bland Ford ranger is to completely re work the suspension so that this truck has the ability to be used as an example of a pre running truck while at the same time showing off the great products off-roading products from sway-away. With co-founders Greg Gilbert and Nick Lopez at the helm this project should be able to wow the attendees at SEMA 2007.
In this episode of the Desolate ranger build the boys have begun attacking the suspension with sharp and pointy objects. The factory shock mounts have been removed so that they can add new ones with far more travel then the old as well as build newer and stronger ones. New tie rods were added so that they don’t have to worry about the original ones being too short or breaking. The new coil over suspension was tacked into place with a lot of notice on the fact that it was tacked as close to the spindle as possible.
