The creations from desolate motor sports are definitely of the quality that belongs at SEMA 2007. Their task for this bland Ford ranger is to completely re work the suspension so that this truck has the ability to be used as an example of a pre running truck while at the same time showing off the great products off-roading products from sway-away. With co-founders Greg Gilbert and Nick Lopez at the helm this project should be able to wow the attendees at SEMA 2007.
In this part of the Desolate ranger build the team has made a lot of headway on the truck. The front bumper has been crafted entirely out of steel tubing and will be able to protect the radiator and lights very effectively. Now that it has been finished the bumper will be sent off to be powder coated and then remounted with lights. Next the guys at desolate are going to attack the rear. They are now removing the outer skins on the bed so that they can attach new light weigh fiber glass ones. Along with the new bed sides they are also attaching a special bed cage and two new 16 inch of travel shocks. The interior of this car is not going to be completely stripped as it is with a race truck, but instead is going to be modified with a radio, racing harnesses, and race seats.
