WebRidesTV.com was on the scene at the Columbus Good Guys Nationals, one of the largest car shows in America! Some of the hottest cars in the world were there, and webridestv was there to showcase the top five cars from the show. First up was George Lange and his 1967 Ford Mustang.
This car screamed custom, with all fabrication and mods done by Allaways Hotrod. An extremely slick satin silver paint job with ice blue racing stripes from Dupont gave this Mustang the look of a silver bullet. Originally a 390 GT Mustang, the body was modified and the extensive modern amenities added.
The engine is a monstrous 4.6L Ford Modular Motor equipped with R500 heads that are found on the Ford GT40 super car! Finished off in a mirror like coat of chrome, this engine is a screamer. Dyno’d at 839HP with 93 octane pump gas, this engine puts out a whopping 1400HP with racing fuel! The interior is immaculate, done by Paul Atkins with lots of matching accessories, including ice blue with polished silver bezel gauges, and matching white and blue leather seats.
Next up was Brian Ferguson, who presented Jerry Crews rare 1966 Chevy Biscayne. This smoke hued ride has a full racing suspension and is nicknamed “the hurricane” for its monster engine, a 652HP 540 Chevy big block that puts out 657ftlbs of torque! Mated to a 5 speed transmission and held together with a full roll cage, this thing is ready for the strip. Billet Specialties rims are a one off creation, and a custom dash with “classic instruments” gauges round out a gorgeous burnt orange interior with lots of brushed aluminum and billet accessories.
Kyle Tucker from Detroit Speed and Engineering presented a car that was built specially for Dale Earnhardt Jr. This bright orange 72 Camaro is shaved, with many of the bulky chrome accessories removed, giving it a streamlined look. Equipped with a crate LS2 engine capable of 440HP and mated to a 6 speed transmission, this car was built for a racer. A Detroit Speed suspension kit and custom flat black rims give this Chevy a unique stance, and the detailed trunk and engine compartments speak for themselves. The interior is built for the strip as well, featuring a full leather interior with 6 point cage and 5 point seatbelt harnesses.
Art Morrison’s 1960 Corvette was a once in a lifetime experience. Featuring late model Corvette front suspension with a triangulated 4-bar solid 9 inch ford rear axle, this Corvette was ready to accept the power of the all aluminum 427 cubic inch small block Chevy motor that was crammed into its engine bay with tons of carbon fiber pieces. Mated to this engineering marvel was a transmission pillaged from a Dodge Viper; however much of the custom work ends here. Everything else on this Corvette was as close to a pristine original restoration as possible, with lots of chrome trim and a beautiful silver and white paintjob. The red leather interior and carbon fiber paintjob are an interesting mash-up of OEM and custom fabrication. Finally, Doug Hoppe Sr. introduced us to his 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, winner of the Street Machine of the year. A Rousch 427 engine propels this satin black demon of a car, which is immaculate in every way. Black on black is the name of the game on this ride, with a lowered stance sitting on black satin rims, black paint, blacked-out lights, and black engine bay and interior.
