Do you like Bentleys? Porches? What about the new Evo, Skyline, Mustang, or Tiburon? The LA auto show had them all, and boy, were there new cars a-plenty. In this video, we see a montage of some amazing rides doing amazing things, as well as some amazing specs from the mouths of the manufacturers’ representatives themselves!
At this year’s LA auto show, 40 new cars from all across the world debuted, including the new Lincoln MKS, Lotus Elise California, BMW M3 and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X was seen for the first time in the United States. In all, a thousand new models were seen on the absolutely massive 347,000 square foot Los Angeles Convention Center floor. Owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles, the LA Convention Center has housed the LA Auto Show every year in early January until the year 2006, when the show was moved to November, as to not conflict with the North American International Auto Show.
The Los Angeles Auto Show has been around since its first show in 1907, and it was originally held at Morley’s Skating Rink in downtown Los Angeles, which is only four blocks from the current LA Convention Center. Since then, the importance of the show has grown to reflect the wants and needs of the average Californian, from modern hybrids to classic muscle.
This year, we saw the unveiling of some new hybrids, including the Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid, the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid, the Dodge Durango Hybrid and the Porche Cayenne Hybrid. It clearly shows that the SUV market is trying to cope with the high gas prices, and at least you won’t feel like you’re buying a gas-guzzler each time you sport one of these. But if gas isn’t a big issue with you, then the unveiling of cars such as the Subaru WRX STI and the Nissan GT-R should greatly please you! There was also a smorgasbord of future concepts, tuner parts, accessories, electronics and anything to do with cars!
