WRTV takes you all for a look at what real car guys like to do with their weekends, drive their cars. These car enthusiasts enjoy getting away from the strains of their jobs and the other face paced elements of the Los Angeles lifestyle and like to get away every once in a while to calmer waters. Those people who enjoy lowriders and hot rods pack up their stuff and fill up their customs for a trip up North. They head up the famous Highway 101 and drive through Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo before stopping off in Paso Robles, a nice town 40 miles past San Luis.
Upon arrival they all park their cars in a line and relax for a little, while at the same time the local fuzz cruises the streets to make sure none of these peaceful car enthusiasts get a little too much to drink before driving. After a short time, the Friday Night Cruise begins and cars of all makes and models head up and down the boulevard. Low and Slow is the theme and nobody dares go over 5 mph as the owners want everyone in attendance to see how fresh their custom looks 3 inches above the road surface.
After the cruise is over the cars are parked in a fashion that allows for safety as well as eye catching angles. Meanwhile, the owners head out to the local bar scene for a night of fun that includes anything from hooting and hollering that the ladies to talking shop with their fellow enthusiasts. As the partying dies down in the wee hours of the morning, there is little time for sleep for some owners as they get up at the crack of dawn to try and get a good spot for the show the next day. Enjoy.
