Any of you Web Riders who are Van Halen fans will surely enjoy this WRTV video as we take a look at Sammy Hagar's tricked out Ford Mustang. And although Sammy himself isn't there to take us through his 'Stang, Jason Childress of Gateway Classic Mustangs does an excellent job in place of Hagar.
The package specific to this Mustang is the GCMR package, of which GCM will produce 100 available for purchase. Powering this car is a Jack Roush 427 V8 with an 8-stack injection system that pumps out 560 horsepower and 530 foot pounds of torque. Keeping this piece of American Iron holding the road is an RRS suspension system, with a three link setup in the rear. The suspension is tied off with BF Goodrich tires wrapped around one off Roulette wheels.
What makes this car unique aside from the owner is that it is not a 35+ year old car, but a reproduction chassis courtesy of Dynacorn International, a company that reproduces vintage car bodies using factory molds and manufacturing processes.
Some things for the car are made specifically for Sammy Hagar that includes a custom speedometer with a red line through the 55 in honor of the famous song "I Can't Drive 55". Other creature comforts include Classic Car Air Conditioning and heat, along with bucket seats with five point racing harnesses.
If you think you want one (and we all do) get ready to shell out at least $120,000 for a base model GCMR equipped with a Roush 342 V8 good for 375 horsepower. But if you want one like Sammy's, it may cost a little more.
