In this edition of WebRidesTV’s visit to the 2007 SEMA Auto Show, we get to see Kristi Edelbrock (the owner of Edelbrock) talking about her sweet, candy red duce coup roadster. It has their brand new supercharged crate motor rated at 500 horsepower and 400ft/lb of torque. Though this ride is a true beast, the real show at the Edelbrock booth is their huge lineup of new supercharge crate engines, LS1 and LS products, valve covers, air cleaners and a whole new line of some serious modification equipment.
Kristi also boasted that Edelbrock is getting into the import-tuning world even more with their new lines of kits, manifolds, throttle bodies and a whole line of performance parts for sport-compact tuning. But this girl is clearly a true muscle fan. She boasted about how she and her sister Camee (along with most of her family, actually) are big fans of vintage racing, and also take part in a little bit of racing themselves.
Edelbrock Corporation is a specialty performance automotive and motorcycle aftermarket parts manufacturer. The company has five locations: its headquarters and three more locations in Torrance, California, including a distribution center and museum, and its foundry in San Jacinto, California. Vic Edelbrock Sr. founded the company when he teamed up with his new brother-in-law and opened an automobile shop on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. The shop was wildly successful, upgraded, and moved three times during the 1930’s. Their first commercial product was the Slingshot manifold that he used to replace their first project car’s manifold. The flathead engine’s previous manifold was apparently too weak, and Edelbrock was looking to fabricate a new part strictly for performance. Since then, the rest is history.
