Stillen was founded by Steve Millen and David Schollum two racers with over 30 years pro experience. These two racers drove everything and anything as long as racing and cars were part of it. The Stillen of today is a 120 man 90,000 square foot facility located in Costa Mesa, California that cranks out some of the best performance parts around. The Stillen office allows some of the best work to be done with an extensive engineering department as well as tons of testing for each part they manufacture. Steve writes for road and track magazine which gives him the ability to drive many different cars and then help build parts to bring normal cars to that level. Stillen excels because it makes parts to bring cars past the boring beige platforms they are and up to rip-roaring racing cars that we all want to have but don't want to necessarily put out house up for.
The Stillen 350z is a beast of a car. Steve Millen loves the fact that the supercharger allows the car to keep on pulling with acceleration. Great acceleration is brought about by the supercharger which gives it instant boost, no waiting with spool up time like with turbo's, just instant power. The car has great handling and great brakes thanks to the work they have done. Steve says that when he first drove the 350z he was disappointed with it because of the lack of power and that is why he is so happy with this supercharged one. According to Steve this car is much more fun to drive. When he reviews super cars he uses the knowledge and feel to make normal cars (like the 350z) as good as their high priced counterparts. The basic idea is that if Steve drives super cars then he will know what a fast car should be able to do and how it should feel. Without that knowledge seeing certain gains in performance would be nearly impossible for anyone without such an extensive driving pedigree.
