Video: Top Gear - Brabus SL65 Review
DESCRIPTION:
Jeremy Clarkson shows us the base car first: a Mercedes Benz SL65, which has a twin turbocharged V12 engine under the hood. He wonders: how can a tuning company possibly make this car even better?
He starts us off by naming it as the most powerful convertible ever made. Then we are treated to some driving shots of the Brabus on a runway doing its thing.
It's powered by a completely reworked version of the original Benz V12 engine. It's displacement has been increased from 5.5 liters to 6.3 liters, along with a complete replacement of every part in the engine bay. Thats good for over 700 horsepower coupled with over 1000 ft-lb of torque (limited to around 800 ft-lb).
