WebRidesTV rolled up to Paso Robles for the 2007 West Coast Kustom Car Show, meeting up with Richie Valles, a builder at the Unique Twist shop, who gave us his top ten cars from the show out of a field of over 800 entrants!
He started off by showcasing a Candy Apple Red 47 Ford with frenched in headlights, lots of chrome, and super straight body work and fabrication. His next pick was a 55 Pearl White Ford with ice blue scallop graphics. A trick white and blue leather/ vinyl interior match the paint on this rad panel van.
Richie then led us over to a beautiful 53 Buick, lowered and looking pretty in light purple with chrome accents and frenched in lights, followed by a sea blue and yellow flamed 50 Ford, chopped and lowered like a true hot rod. A beautiful white tuck and roll interior in the 50 shows real attention to detail.
Next up was a hot looking red 36 ford, with an inline 6 each with its own carb! A pop-out front windshield, pinstripe graphics, and impressive roof chop round out this sweet ride. Richie then walked over and picked out a two tone, black and red stunner with a powerful but vintage 348 engine. This Impala was trick, with an old school style leather interior and lots of shaved metal panels, and of course the amazing attention to detail, mixing in the old with the new.
Next up was a green 65 Cadillac, followed by a golden 27 Ford, slammed and sporting an updated engine. But his number one pick was a pearl burnt-orange Bel-Air that had some truly inspirational chopping done, with all the windows re-cut to fit! The owner, John D’Agostino, took a year to build up his dream 57 Chevy Bel-Air, and it showed!
